International students scoring our University
No doubt UAH is a great university and that isn't only simple or subjective words. Therefore we show us the awards and positive mentions about University of Alcalá such as the last by Study Portals.
Study Portals, one of the major international sites to promote studies, have been awarded to Universiy of Alcalá because of the internacional students were gratified with their UAH experience.
Foreign students have been appreciated their stay with a 8 to 8.9 out of 10 score, in Study Portals words the UAH deserves a "Very Good" qualification.
The study drawn up for Study Portals is the widest world in this field, and comprises thousands of surveys to international students. On the one hand, they asked students for to recommend a friend their experience in abroad university and scoring it between 0 to 10. In the other hand, they should explain their score reasons.
Away from exams with the best music in Alcalá
The arrival of January means many things. New year, new goals but especially for students January means semester final exams. To help our labor more easy we recommended making it with the best culture, more specifically, with the music that comes Alcalá this month.

Announcement Erasmus call in UAH
The UAH announces the Erasmus call for 2015-2016 academic year. The application submission period runs from December 1st to January 9th. If you need more informacion about Erasmus call, you must press the next button.
¡Feel like a real zombie!
If your passion is the zombie world, you're a fan of "The Walking Dead" show or you just want to have some fun, you can’t miss this Friday the 4th Zombie Walk of Alcala de Henares.
Event description:
Participants will go to the Plaza de los Santos Niños and/or Casa Tapón Bar, where they will be told where is their position. Once there, a signal will sound (zombie trumpet) and the Walk will begin down Mayor Streer to the Plaza de Cervantes.
It is important to respect the space given at the start, and to maintain a compact block through the Walk.
The Walk will stop at three places along the way (always after a signal of the Zombie trumpet) where a flashmob will be performed, as the zombies actions (you must learn them to be in the front of the Walk, during the Workshop Theatre Practice) .
When the Walk reach the Plaza de Cervantes, a family photo will be taken with all the zombies and then, the first zombie marathon in history will take place to return to the starting point (Plaza de los Santos Niños) where they will devour some brains at the House of Terror (Casa Tapón Bar).
If you want to have the perfect look and look like an authentic zombie, you can go to the makeup workshop from 20:00 at House of Terror (Casa Tapón Bar), they will make up you and characterize you like a real zombie.

Meeting Time: 21.00.
Meet Place: Plaza de los Santos Niños / Casa Tapón Bar.
Start of the Walk: 21.30.
Visited places: Mayor Street / Plaza Cervantes / Plazo de los Santos Niños.
Requisites: Zombie Costume and Makeup.
Type of activity: Action performance.
Makeup: Makeup workshop terror from 20.00h organized in the House of Terror (Casa Tapón Bar), by your own way.
Medieval Fair
As in each year at around this date is coming over in Alcalá de Henares "Cervantes week", during which many activities take place focused on Cervantes and the reading the Quixote.
Despite of the rain the Medieval Fair received great public attendance, as you have seen this days.
We will be able to find many exhibition stands along the Medieval Fair route, most offering traditional products tastings ("rosquillas"," empanadas", honey, spirits...) and you can buy any of them. In adittion you can attend in their workshops or just enjoy the cultural and leisure activities.
The city center becomes an open-air theater , where the actors dressed according to the era takes you back several centuries.
Also, the second-hand book Fair will be available until October 19th in "La Plaza de los Santos Niños". Here you can purchase books to improve your Spanish!
In addition, many restaurants offer "Cervantes menu" with special and attractive offers, even for students. However, if your Erasmus budget is lower you can find restaurants with good food like "Spanish tapas" at cheap prices.

University of Alcalá, our platform is needed!
The UAH is a leader in attracting international students in Spain. That’s it guys, although it can surprise even the UAH students, this is what the GrupSurvey of Shanghai publishes. This study affirms that the University of Alcalá ranks first in international student standing at first position in the degree studies and second in absolute terms.
In the world ranking the UAH occupies the 184 position in absolute terms and the 187 in degree studies. Considering that there are over 20,000 universities throughout the world, we can consider that these are not bad results.
Analyzing more about the study we can see other important information about postdegree studies: in the percentage of international students studying a Master, the UAH ranks the fifth position in the Spanish universities and the first in Madrid. Moreover regard to international doctoral students, is the eighth in the international arena and again the first of Madrid. In the world ranking of Master studies and Doctoral it occupies the position 112 and 135 respectively.
All this has been possible thanks to the UAH, that have been making internationalization a key sign of their identity for many years.
Therefore, seeing the results of this study and the efforts of the University of Alcalá, it is clear that the UAH is an almost unbeatable place to start our project.
